Portfolio: Formal Elements

A portfolio is an edited collection of an artists bast work intended to showcase an artists style and/or method of work.

In my opinion a successful portfolio both expresses and displays an artist's personality and showcases various presentation materials that both represent the artist and their work which also links to a theme of their choice. it also needs to have a consistent style in terms of editing and link to the subject of formal elements while showcasing an artists best work. The work also has to be aesthetic ("the pleasant, positive or artful appearance of a person or a thing").
